From the friendly shuttle driver, to quick check-in, and nice evening reception, every aspect of service and performance was the best of any Embassy Suites at which I have stayed. Sherryann provided great hospitality. Close to the airport, lobby has a great layout with a lot of cozy spots, and the food we ordered was very good. Room was nice and updated. Very quiet. No complaints.
Breakfast and the evening reception were great and the staff at these were excellent. The staff elsewhere was hit or miss, either extremely rude, like I was bothering them, or incredibly helpful and genuine.
The rooms were cool and roomy. The hotel itself is beautiful. There's an indoor and an outdoor pool. They have a "happy hour" with free drinks and light "snacks". The drinks are a nice treat, and they also have a decent breakfast. The morning cafeteria staff isn't the best, but the bartenders are nice. The parking lot was full to capacity the weekend that we stayed. There were two family reunions and some kind of kids football team was there, too. It's conveniently located. Close to the airport and the shuttle runs often. There's no shopping or major activity near the airport, though. I would definitely return.
The staff was pleasant, especially checking in. They didn't say anything to us about water issues (sign laid on desk but not noted). Brown water that afternoon but showers tolerable. In the morning however, no cold water. Couldn't shower. Guest services never called back when I let them know. Rooms, and food, were excellent.
Embassy Suites by Hilton is my favorite hotel. They have a very friendly knowledgeable staff, large spacious suites and a wide array of amenities. I recommend them for solo, couple and family stays.
I stayed here for a week for work. I arrived late, which I had to coordinate beforehand with some call center that seemed located outside the US. I was able to do that and took the shuttle from the airport which was easy and uneventful. Check in took forever with a staff member that was mumbling to herself for 15 minutes. The hotel also doesn't have tax exemption forms printed out so you have to take the time to print and do it yourself and even then the info won't get put in correctly for your receipt (as happened to me and am currently attempting to work with literally anyone that will help to remedy this).
The rooms were clean on the surface but were not actually, which is something you notice after living in a room for a week.
Overall, stay could have been a lot better and it's incredibly annoying having to deal with the mistakes of accounting and not being able to get in contact with literally anyone at the hotel after the stay. Probably will find another place next time I'm in Atlanta, for work or pleasure.
The hotel itself is in an OK area outside the airport but has a really run down sign. Aircraft will fly directly overhead and it can be loud. The hotel itself is open style so sound just permeates through the whole building and rooms near elevators and the waterfalls in the lobby will surely be interrupted in their sleep along with the aircraft noise.
