Cool historic house with great Atlanta history. It's ashame there's not more of the history relating to the Mitchell's around, but this apartment complex is a good representation. The information in the exhibits and the tour guide taught me things I never knew. Happy to support Atlanta's heritage. Plus it's a great weekend activity to go walking midtown.
Glimpse of history. I like the way they have preserved and set up the place. Peaceful.
I brought my mom and my aunthere on Mother's Day and it was a home run they loved it I enjoyed my self as well upon coming in I was greeted by a young lady that was very friendly and I asked her where the restroom was a she not only told me she showed me and ended the conversation off with you all enjoy. All of the employees are friendly but she went beyond and before we left me and my mother asked her how long had she been working with you all and. She told us 2 weeks we couldn't believe it you guys keep up the great work.....
The staff is very courteous and friendly. There is a nominal entry free but they let us in coz we just had 45 Mins left before their close of business. And we fled IRMA.
Small quaint museum dedicated to Margaret Mitchell that was her original home. While small it does pack a punch when it comes to the author's history and the Atlanta History Center has done a really good job preserving the house. It's not overly crowded so you can enjoy it a a pace you prefer.
My mom's influence. I saw this loooong movie so many times. This was my images of Southern America. Beautiful & strong woman Margaret Mitchell reflects Scarlett O'Hara.
