Extraordinary collection of artifacts with well- displayed exhibits accompanied by interesting and enlightening text summaries. The Civil War gallery was a fabulous and unique perspective. The culture and history of Atlanta area was most informative. A not to be missed museum for history lovers.
I was blown away by the sheer amount of activities to do here. The Swan House, nature trails, 7 exhibits, Olympic Museum, Cyclorama, Tullie Plantation, Cabin and play houses dotted across the property. Definitely plan at least 3-4 hours to be able to experience all that is offered here.
A superb interactive informative museum-the sections for Atlanta and the Civil War are simply awesome! Well thought of exhibits engage and immerse you - a few hours felt like few minutes! Unfortunately, the houses weren't open today, but we had a tremendous time at the Center. The cafe is also great. Definitely, a must do for visitors to Atlanta!!
Thoroughly enjoyed. Vietnam Exhibit is impressive. Beautiful buildings
The Atlanta History Center has the best exhibits. It has the BEST Civil War collection I have ever seen. As a historical reenactor I have seen many. The two houses are wonderful living histories. I in almost 20 years have never had a bad experience when visiting the Atlanta History Center.
