We spent 2 hrs there, but I think you could probably spend a max of 3 hrs. There are things for older (5-9ish yo) kids that are more interactive electronic type things which were pretty cool and climbing structures. And of course tons for the younger ones.

Hours and hours of fun for the whole family, young and old! Me, my wife, four year old and my six year old all found plenty to do. Not a bored moment. Ample muscle and mind workouts, creativity and science. We really enjoyed building soda rockets in the science class.

It has daily art classes almost every hour and building workshops. Those were fun for my 4 year old.

Food: they have picnic table and no cafeteria. So suggest to bring your own food. Vending machines with very limited and not so healthy choices.

I would give the museum itself a four- five star rating however because of the location and parking situation I can't give it more than three stars. Parents with young children, especially of more than one child do not want the complicated city driving and not having a designated parking lot. We visited today ( our second visit) and I would love to become members because my children enjoy it; However, unless you are a tourist, the terribly inconvenient parking will keep many from joining. Today the closest parking deck was full except for the monthly spots and we had to park on the eighth floor of a parking deck 5 blocks away and walk in the rain to get there. Perhaps the Atlanta museum could look at other cities as examples to come up with solutions to serve more than just the tourist population. I know Richmond, VA's children's museum added a separate site in the suburbs to appeal to more families. We do enjoy some of the exhibits though.

Nice place. My kids enjoyed it - ages are almost 6yo and 3yo. The parking lot is across the street and you have to pay (just fyi). There was an area upstairs with tables and chairs so I assume it's okay to bring your own food.

No way kids won't love it..let them play with balls, or cook in kitchen or make art in workshop or build a project or build blocks or do plumbing or do slides...yes that many things.

We liked our visit.

Lots of different exhibits and it sounds large when you read 30000 square feet, but quite compact place.

Love this place! We use to visit on the free days till this year I didn't want to wait for them so i got a membership. Now we go all the time. The parking sucks tho. I pay for membership but still have to pay parking each time I go.. I mean come on
