A must-see for any avgeek in Atlanta. Inside there are planes from Delta's early history, including an immaculate DC-3 and a 767 converted into exhibit space. Plus all sorts of historical goodies - flight attendant uniforms, brochures, and everything else you'd find in a Delta cabin from across the airline's history. You really feel like you were there. Outside is the first 747-400 ever built! You can board it to see the first class cabin and a cutaway showing just how massive the hull is.
Fantastic museum! All staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I visited in 'Mac', my blue and yellow wolf fursuit (costume), and they were very accommodating. It's a fun and enriching experience. Don't miss the 747 and 767 walkthroughs! They also have a great gift shop.
Very fun and interesting place to visit! I've never been on a plane so it was amazing stepping into one and getting that close. Little kids will love it being that close to an airplane. Even if you're not into aviation it's a very interesting place to visit. You can do a real simulation of flying that was used to train pilots up until 2014 or 15' for $425.
If you want to walk through a Boeing 747 and 767 then this is your chance. It's a very interesting place. I enjoyed the trip. Combine this museum with a trip to the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins.
Fun stop before heading back to the airport! Cool to see the planes up close, as well as different cross sections. Friendly staff -- definitely recommend for aviation enthusiasts!
