I've been coming here since I was 2 with my dad. Now I am almost 20 years old and I'm still coming here even though I don't live nearly as close anymore. The selection and people at Highland make the one hour drive in from Gainesville absolutely worth it. I am so glad Atlanta has been blessed with such a fantastic hardware store like Highland for so long.
Excellent service. Incredible collection of products and information. It's pretty cool to have an internationally known hardware store in our neighborhood. Anyone can surf the web site. We can walk in and see everything in person. Hand tools are my favorite but there is a wide range of power tools and accessories as well. Classes and various demonstration days and books all help improve my results at home. I'm trying to learn to make guitars but in the process, I've had to learn a number of other skills. Highland Woodworking has really helped to keep me on the right track and shorten my learning curve. Whatever your goals, they have parts, tools, classes or videos to get you where you want to go. Yep. Just re read my notes from 3 years ago. All still good. I was ordering small parts today. Thanks HW. Thanks for the instructional videos too.
Excellent store and professional service. Do not buy the Woodslicer Resaw blade. It's only useful for short, under 4" resawing. I purchased a custom length for my Aggazzani 20" bandsaw and it was horrible on 8" walnut.
Extremely helpful staff, wonderful selection of products. I highly recommend it.
