4. Didn't come with tools to dismantle beds, then couldn't figure out how to do it after they borrowed tools.
2. Started loading the truck before packing was complete & without proper inventory being done. Then asked me to fill out the inventory & sticker everything because he "doesn't like to write". Supervisors did nothing to reassure us about these shady methods when I called multiple times.
Update: Unfortunately, this last military move has been the worst. Between this moving company and A-1 Horton out of Atlanta, I've come to the conclusion that I won't receive compensation for the damages one of these companies made to my couch and dining room table. Someone was either smoking near my couch or got it caught on something to where it ripped holes in the sides and bottoms. The edges of my table from Japan were all scraped up and I know they were not stored like that. Both denied culpability when I submitted my claim. Both pointed the fingers at the other, advising me to file with the other company. Pitiful. I hope I won't be forced to use either one of these companies again.
Very professional movers! The military designated them to move my household goods and I appreciate that they were on time, even early by a few minutes. They weren't disrespectful at any time and treated my property as if it was their own. Started packing and labeling things at 8 a.m. and were finished at noon. The guys cleaned up their mess and I'm satisfied with them. That's one thing I appreciate is good customer service.
5. Packed stuff clearly labeled not to be included as part of their shipment.
Now, I just hope my personal belongings fair well when they get delivered to me in the future.
6. Complained they were only being paid $60 each for the entire 2 day job.
1. They came without sufficient packing materials - both days. Used our boxes from a previous move we had already broken down with plans to sell them on craiglist.
Terrible experience..low integrity. Stay away from this company.
In 8 military moves, I've never had such anxiety about whether I'd see my belongings again on the other side.
3. One of the movers showed up in a wife-beater tank top, jean shorts belted below his butt, boxers completely sticking out, & bragged to my husband about his criminal record.
7. Randomly wandered room to room packing so disorganized that I'll be unpacking many kitchen, bath, & bedroom items out of the same box.
Horrible moving experience. I paid to have my stuff moved here. I paid for a complete move and unpacking. They unloaded my things from their truck and pulled out the paper work and said we are done. The only thing the set up were my two bed and the didn't even screw in the mattress slats. I asked will you at least plug set up my televisions...and they did..and were out of the door. I had precoordinated with Loretta (the owner) the day before and she assured me I would get a complete move, unpacking and trash removal...so I called her to explain that they only dropped off my stuff and did absolutely no unpacking. She was very rude and inconsiderate. She said why did you let them leave..I told her they said they were done. So I was left to set up and unpack on my own. I called and asked if they could at least come back another day to remove my boxes that they were PAID to unpack and the rest of the debris. When she finally called back after pressure from the contractor she set up a debris removal day. The one guy comes to my house but would only take the boxes that were empty and crushed.
It'll be a miracle if we receive a fraction of our stuff intact. I hope I'm wrong. I'm not a complained & have never called a moving company or military transportation office before this experience.
Loretta in the office was very rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend their services to anyone..she threatened me with a gun while she was on a911 call.no reason at all
If you have a choice, pick Atlas/Nelson Westerburg. They were contracted to pack & store the other half of our house. Professional, experienced, skilled, prepared, & efficient.
