My girlfriend and I began ring shopping last year. We visited Solomon brothers and Jonathan serviced us. During our first visit we saw a few selections but nothing was "the one". Jonathan encouraged us to come back and send him any ring preferences I find via email. Afterward, we took a trip to Jared's and I found the ring I fell in love with.
I would absolutely caution anyone buying an engagement ring to look elsewhere, or at least stay away from Lisa. What happened to us shouldn't happen at a "Fine Jeweler".
Jonathan gave us an awesome deal and it turns out my ring was less at SB then Jared's! I def recommend SB and I especially recommend Jonathan. Jonathan was easy going, not pushy and made my girlfriend and I feel extremely comfortable. No pushy salesman vibe just genuine passion for what he does.
However, after reading reviews of Jared's we decided not to make a purchase from there and we went back to Jonathan since he left such a lasting impression. I sent him an email of the ring I wanted and set up a time to see him the following week or so later.
I am based out of Tulsa, OK and my experience with Solomon Brothers was incredible. I worked with Rami, and he exuded excellence & mastery of his craft during every stage of the process. They also offered me a price better than I could find anywhere - both in retail stores and online. Highly recommend.
I was recommended there by a friend whose husband purchased her engagement ring there a few years ago. One day over the summer, my friend was going to get her ring cleaned, so I tagged along for fun, and to figure out what size ring I wore. My boyfriend and I had talked about getting married, but it was early so I figured I would at least know my size in case it came up. We walked in, my friend and I were greeted nicely, she dropped off her rings for cleaning (which would take about 15 minutes), and I decided to try on rings while we waited. We were paired with Lisa, who was relatively helpful, but slightly pushy. She helped me size my finger, but then was set on having me figure out EXACTLY which setting I was interested in. I played along, but really was just there for the ring size, so I didn't think much about giving her my information (name, email, phone, etc.). Although I was hesitant, I also gave her my boyfriends information when she asked. We even joke about how awkward it would be for him to find out that I was ring shopping. Lisa followed up later that day with an email, saying that she had noted my preferences, and that when my boyfriend was ready, I should send her information to him so she could help him pick the perfect ring.
Literally, when you are selling an engagement ring, you really have one major job - NOT to tell the future bride about it!! After he proposed and we let the excitement sink in, I told him about the email that I had gotten. He was FURIOUS.
The rings Jonathan picked out were pretty similar to what I was looking for but after perusing the shop I found the "the one"! The selection is so amazing at SB it's easy to miss something because they have so much!
Now about 10 days after he proposed, I got ANOTHER email from Lisa, to my email address, asking for a Google review - so here it is.
Went in for an engagement ring with a lot of different examples provided by my girlfriend's friends. Lisa was a HUGE help to me and managed to find a ring that fit all my disparate examples. Lisa made sure the ring was ready by my deadline and crafted perfectly for the size of the stone I wanted. My fiancé loved it, her friends loved it, and it made for an amazing proposal. Solomon Brothers should be your first stop for jewelry in the Greater Atlanta Area.
My husband decided to upgrade my center diamond for our 5 year anniversary and a friend recommended Solomon Brothers in part for their amazing upgrade policy. I'm so happy that we found Kent Liberto at the showroom, he honestly made the process so simple and my upgrade/redesign turned out better than I could have ever imagined! We will absolutely be customers for life!!
A few months went by, and as my boyfriend and I got more serious, I forwarded the email to him. I said something along the lines of "I'm just going to send this now, but no pressure or rush- just want you to have it for whenever you're ready".
My experience at Solomon Brothers started out alright, but ended pretty terribly with a ruined surprise.
Thanks so much Jonathan! You were great!
Flash forward a month or two, I had kind of put it out of my mind until one day I was sitting at work and I GOT AN EMAILED INVOICE FOR MY FUTURE ENGAGEMENT RING. Totally out of the blue, I got an email to my email address from Lisa, directed at my boyfriend, that had wiring instructions, the invoice, and the appraisal. All the specifics about the ring were listed right there in front of me. I was so angry that Lisa had ruined the surprise. I replied back, telling her that I would pretend I didn't see it, and to please send the email to my boyfriend. I had to keep this huge secret from him for about two weeks, because I still wanted him to have his special proposal moment. She had already taken the surprise away from me, but I didn't want to ruin it for my boyfriend. Get this: She never responded to apologize for sending me the invoice!
