I remember when I went to this place when I was younger, like 12-14. The experience was so pointless and my time there was so wasted and purposeless. Hahahaha. The experience, the so called mediocre unprofessional low class simpleton 'treatment', and the time there was all pointless and pathetic. The place is just filled with a bunch of useless workers, nurses and PRESCHOOL doctors that are very ignorant with snobby little attitudes. I remember one time when they all would wake us up at like 7:00, some black little stump of a man threw a wash cloth on my face. And I'm serious. A Very ignorant pathetic idiotic thing to do right? & when I was about to be put on medication, I simply wanted to know what I was being put on and they didn't even give me any papers or anything so I could know and be aware of what was going in MY body. So foolish of them right? And when I took a pill and the nurse at the counter asked me if I took it (I hid it up the back of my lip, hahaha) she said " why thank you, you may now go to your room" or something like that in a very sarcastic tone KNOWING I wasn't pleased with not knowing what was going in MY body. So obnoxious of that ignorant little stump of a woman right? & not even to mention all of the horrid writings on the walls, cabinets, and floors. Shows that they don't even bother to clean the place. Absurd right? & for the time when I first got there, 2 black females were saying they were going to take my picture (for the band on our wrists we had to wear), I simply asked "what is it for" cause I didnt know at the time, and all the ignorant little women did was ignore my question, while one kept saying 'its okay its okay" in a very sarcastic tone, while the other just took my picture & both of them walked away to the booth that is in the middle of the hall way as they continued to talk about me and mock me because they knew I was annoyed by them not answering my question so I could simply know what the picture was being took for. Pathetic of those little ignorant swines right? And also, not even just the workers themselves, but even the snobby KIDS/PATIENTS THEMSELVES have horrid little attitudes. One time I remember a girl was saying she needed a brown color marker or something when we were in the gym doing some type of dumb art for "expression" (all fakery, the workers don't care about that forreal, they are just there for a paycheck) I was saying "well you could mix 'so and so' colors to get brown, and she said " I think its a little bit too late for that" in a very sarcastic tone and the worker next to her just chuckled and laughed and didn't even try to corrected here little snobby behavior. Another is when my roommate patient was coming in the room crying about something and i asked her whats wrong, she said "nothing dont worry about it". One time I fainted cause I think they overdosed me OR i just didn't get enough sleep for all of those hyper pills they kept giving me and then expecting me to be wake at a certain schedule for when i barely get enough sleep from those energetic pills, when we were in line in the hallway to go to lunch, and when I fell and awoke a little bit, some black guy was mocking how I fell and the other workers around him laughed ofcourse -.-
And for any of you children or adults,( but mainly children cause you kids have less say of what you want of things to go for yourself) get put into this place? Don't entertain, give attention to or try to communicate with ANY of the people there like I tried , patient or worker. Simply do your time, stay secluded out, eat all the food & SLEEP!!!
Even though you see bad reviews about this Hospital. Actually it's not for everyone but if you need help and you want to see results as far as the right direction to go in., this is a great start. They can't save you but they can help you. I read so many reviews about how there experience was horrible or there love ones. But true In deed no one wants to see there love one suffer. It's not a bad facility and also if you have Medicaid what do you expect 5star treatment. My son was a patient there and it change my life. Sometimes as parents or care givers we have to start somewhere . And peachford is an excellent hospital for kids that need help and attention. Not only they feed you on time the staff was great. They were very attentive and always kept me in the loop. Dr. Jimmy awesome .
All in all, my WHOLE experience there was pointless, purposeless, meaningless and unreasonable. It didn't solve anything. It didn't change anything. It didn't help anything. It didn't even UPLIFT or transform me somehow. It was all an ignorant, senseless, moronic, dumb mess. All those pathetic little workers and so called nurses and doctors are just there for a paycheck, not for any actual treatment OR therapy. & i don't advise this place for ANYONE!!!! Child or Adult.
Brought a family member here to get help and did nothing but wait over six hours. All that time and he was still not admitted. They told us to leave him behind in a waiting room. One of the male staff there had an attitude when we asked about visiting hours. We ended up not using this facility. Strongly not recommending this place for anyone.
I wish I could give 0 stars. This place offers no real treatment to the mentally ill. They charge an exorbitant fee for imprisonment.
I stayed there for 6 days of complete torture. A nurse told me that i shouldn’t feel unloved by my family because “other people bave worse families”. It feels like the staff is not trained to talk about mental health. The food is garbage. most nurses that i talked to were incredibly rude. I faked my way out of there because i couldn’t handle how the staff treated us. this hospital should be shut down.
