Atlanta's 911 and Atlanta Police are a disappointment. I learned last night NOT to rely on 911 or the Atlanta Police; 1AM, 1:30AM an African-American was banging on my door - terrified I called 911 end up on the phone with 911 for almost 1 hour because the Police couldn't get into my complex. I''m giving 911 information to call my complex's Police courtesy officer who never called back. Thank God for my neighbor who called the Police who finally showed up 1 hour later. I could have been dead. My complex is to blame too as the gates don't function all the time and has to be reprogrammed that affects residents' visitor call box and found out the Police can't get into complexes need a gate code but 911 kept saying Atlanta Police have NO gate code!!!
It appears officers intentionally did not provide me their names or an incident number or call me as promised and the precinct wont do a thing to find my case number. Eff the APD.
I was sent to this station by Clayton County as I was trying to report my gun being stolen. They tried to send me to the CNN bldg. So i called 911 again, they were confused as to why the officer couldn't do it there so they just sent an officer out. He took all my info & goes & calls his Supervisor. Comes back & tell me I have to go back to Clayton. I call 911, put them on speaker. They say go back to where I believe it was stolen. Long story short, there is no structure, noone is on the same page. Nor are they helpful. I still have no report after calling 18 times & driving around Atlanta.
My car was involved in a hit and run incident Friday eve. and I lost the card with the incident #. I called Zone 5, spoke with Ofc. Lancrerot and in less than two minutes, I had my incident #. It was a pleasant surprise. Thank you!
I called related to my friend recieving death threats. We had to run from a guy that grabbed her In the middle of the street that she luckily got away from because I yelled at him that I saw him and knew what he looked like. I called the police that said they would send someone out...... It's been over an hour and the guy had be watching us...... We eventually had to walk home. Luckily he didn't follow.
