NO WAY TO CALL THEM!!!! The phone numbers online is just for decoration. Someone can die and still no be able to reach them on the phone. Even just to simply ask their office hours. Mediocrity seem to be the mantra of we Africans.

It was NOT UNTIL 2 days before my flight on the 15th that I finally got my passport.

Extremely disappointed with the entire service provided by this consulate. I have called, emailed & faxed and no updates on my passport. I got to Atlanta from Houston 10/25/17 and paid the 65 dollars money order for expedited fees and I was told by Mr. Aliyukadiri that I will get it within 2-3 days since I paid for expedited services. Since then, on 11/08/17 I tried tracking my USPS envelope and there was nothing being sent to me. On 11/08/17 - I called and finally spoke to an elderly lady and I was scolded for calling too EARLY that they just opened the office. I pleaded for the status of my passport and was told that she couldn't go looking for the update regarding my passport and that it was too early. I asked for her advice on what I should do and she said, "I don't know what to tell you the passport department is busy". I asked politely when she would advice I call back and she responded in an unfriendly tone, "whenever I feel like" (even after she scolded me for calling too early). At that point in time I was going to travel in less than a week, my passport had not left the consulate and I lived in Houston. I'm in disbelief of the experience I have been put through. I flew out from Houston to Atlanta, paid $65 for expedited services and they refuse to give me an update. I ended up paying $300 for a travel certificate for my flight with my American passport since I didn't hear anything from anyone regarding my passport.

I applied for a Nigerian passport on the 20th October and was told I will received my passport within one month. I was made to purchase an envelope with a tracking number on it. To my surprise, the envelope has not been mailed after one month and there is no way to reach anyone in the embassy as they let the phone rings until it cuts off. This is not acceptable, if the consular or his representative is reading this, they need to look into this as soon as possible. It is enough that we have a bad reputation as a country, our embassies should try their best to prove this wrong. The customer service is very poor......

There's a guy here called "Edwin." He is the most patient person I have ever seen in a Nigerian business. His great customers skills changed my views about Nigerian businesses. He is such a great employee that any business should keep. He answers questions politely even when you ask too many questions. He goes all the way to ensure that you get helped.

Ps..... this review if for the Atlanta Embassy only!!!

I think this office is unfairly judged. I am one person who never writes a review but because we as Nigerians constantly berate the Govt/Embassies I decided to do this and believe me if I thought they did as badly as lots of people are saying I would say so. I took off the whole day to process mine and my children's PPs thinking it wouldl take the whole day but we were there for just an hour and a half,,,, surprise, surprise, in fact 15 mins of that half hour was our fault not theirs... My children's PPs were mailed as they said they would be within the time frame they specified; I am awaiting mine because I needed to provided additional docs. I would have given them all 5 stars but because they do not answer the phone number on their site and 2) you cannot reschedule appts (I tried to several times), I decided to give them 4 stars. Really guys, these people are not as inefficient as being portrayed and they were far from being rude.......

Finally, Mr. Aliyu Kadiri called me back and in an unfriendly tone said "I'm calling you back because you have been mentioning my name regarding your passport, you said you paid for expedited services but that is not guaranteed and calling is not the way to do things" before I could say anything other that my first and last name - He said he was going to call back (which he never did) and hung up the phone.
