My dog Dylan is a hot mess. She is not friendly, barks at everyone, and nervously poops. I am not talking about a little poodle either, she is a large boxer mix! I love her anyway, of course, and the staff at EAAC does too. Dr. Starnes is so patient with this crazy dog and her even more neurotic owner. I drive out of my way and take a day off of work to bring Dylan for her annual, and I will do it every year of her life. It's worth it. The staff here is always happy to see her, even though she is a pain at times! They joke with mer about how stressful the experience is, listen to my concerns, and treat her like a family member, which, to me, she is. I wish there were 10 stars to give these folks!
Today, yearly checkup, drop off 7:30am for sedation... receive a call at 2:30pm that sedation didn’t work and they were unable to do anything with our dog today. The call was pretty intense and I do not think the person on the other end was empathetic at all.
Dr Starnes and Emily (licensed technician) are the BEST and very conscientious of my emotional state of mind. I refused to allow anyone but Dr Starnes to do the surgery because of her knowledge of the issue and her history with Cayman. Many thanks to everyone at the East Atlanta Animal Clinic for the understanding of my emotional up and downs for the past 3 weeks. Cayman is doing great and will continue to go to this clinic. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart ❤️
I stumbled upon this vet a couple of years ago when my dog got into something naughty! I was traveling in Atlanta and just got lucky! Wonderful vets and staff here! Ended up back here because of an upset stomach. Even though my baby is not a regular at this clinic (we live of state) they were able to schedule him in and take great care of him. The vet even called me herself to walk me through one of his x-rays. Very impressive and very reasonably priced. Meds, visit, x-ray and boarding for the day was $350. Bottom Line - if you need a vet, look no further!
They have the best doctors here. We feel very comfortable with the entire staff. Everyone is so friendly! We walk out dog by here all the time and always wants to go in because he is treated so well.
Not even sure how to express everything. I’m disappointed, upset and put off by this clinic. We rescued our dog 4 years ago. She came with lots of issues - mainly that she was abused as a pup. She has taken to our family but is not social with other people. It was after our first visit in 2013 it was determined we would need to sedate her to manage through the routine stuff— shots, tests etc... this has worked well until today.
I noticed this morning staff seems completely new — or they have definitely had turnover since last year. I was the only one in the office and it took well over 10mins to be assisted. The woman who called at 2:30pm needs to improve her customer relations or perhaps an attitude adjustment. We do not feel we got the same treatment as years past. Not sure that we will be returning. I asked to leave with both our cat and dog’s records.
Pick our dog up at 6:30pm to ask again about the sedation process and was told they were trying a different drug/approach today. Why change something that has worked in years past without telling the owners first? You think that may have been why the visit wasn’t successful? Asked for the refill for trifexis— told she couldn’t have it because they couldn’t do a Heartworm checkup today. So, because of inefficiencies on their end our dog goes without meds the vet prescribed and said she needs??
