"It's a USP box"
This is the most inefficient and slow post office ever. I come here often because it is on my way home from work, but that's the only reason. Whenever there's only a few people in line and one person working the window, they still take forever. And I know sometimes it takes time for their machines to print labels and whatnot, but that's not the issue: it's the workers moving slow as molasses. If there's a long line and two people working, just forget about it. You would think they'd move quickly when there's a line, but instead the workers just yap away and giggle with customers instead of actually moving people along.
The "head clerk" Mr. G. Jefferson (uploaded a picture of him to google) attempts to make dealings here even more difficult and I am unsure what his issue is with me...or white people...or who knows, but every single time I am forced to go to the counter and deal with him, he seems to delight in making my life a living hell, plus he refuses to serve me as a customer.
"WE WONT RELEASE FOOTAGE"
The staff here, not the best. Whether or not you can get that to play in your favor is up to you.
This would be a one star review but the new young lady who seems to do all work around there and is always pleasant and helpful gets a star all her own.
This is "my post office" for the past year and has to be the single worst location I have ever had to deal with in my life.
"Don't need that we just need to confirm a detail of a violen-"
Customer service is nonexistent at this place. I ordered a small item from Italy on 8/25 and paid $58.13 for Priority Mail Express International. It has been sitting in New York since 9/8 (2 weeks and counting), and I'm pretty sure it's not stuck in customs because the necessary paperwork was included AND the tracking info says it was processed through the NY ISC and is currently at a regional facility in NY. I've tried multiple times to get help from ANYONE at the USPS, but it's pointless. You can't call USPS customer service (wait time is never less than 45 minutes) and all cases/inquiries about the package get directed to this office, which employs the rudest and most helpless employees I have ever encountered. Take this last example: Felecia, the SUPERVISOR of this place, responded very nicely and apologetically to the second case I filed regarding this item and said she would have a response the next day. 24 hours go by, and then 48 hours go by, and I still don't hear anything. So, I call the number she gave me and a "Ms. Collins" answers instead and tells me that Felecia left for a 2-week-long vacation the day before and didn't pass any info along! Ms. Collins is nice enough at first, but gets an attitude with me when I call a 2nd time to follow up and she says she's "trying to go to lunch." Stellar job, guys. Shining example of the extreme incompetence of our government agencies.
"We won't release any footage."
Just now I had to cash a U.S. Postal money order for $100.00 and waited 40 minutes because they supposedly didn't have it on hand?? When I asked to speak to his supervisor he flat out said "no!"
"Ya we're USPS that's USP get it off the pile"
"We don't ship that here that isn't the right company"
Came in to this post office with my items in the box labels taped and ready to send off I use the same type of box and my labels are always prepaid usually I don’t come to this post office but since I was running errands I went to the closest location. I arrived the only one in the office and the lady starts to tell me I have the wrong box and I have to pay for a different box because the weight of my object has to be the exact one on the box I already knew that wasn’t true because my regular post office always takes the box because it says the weight on the shipping label.so now she is having me unpackage my items and put them in a different box very unnecessary. the lady behind the counter was rude and I would never visit this post office again even if I had to.
And again it happened, same scenario, except this time when I asked to speak to a mngr/supv, he contacted the police to have me to leave!? I'm not the first to mention this employee specifically in a review, and I'm sure I won't be the last as long as he is allowed to treat customers this way.
