Some of the best breakfast and lunch around the way. Super friendly staff. Everything made fresh in hotel pans , plates made in front of you. Easy on the pocket and will walk away full and happy! Fire cornbread and cabbage, amongst other southern staples.
Worst experience in a restaurant ever. Made reservations for 10 they gave us seating for 6 and said this is it. The owner came over and he was very rude not accommodating at all. He said if you don't like it you can leave. Whoa!!! This is why black establishments don't last because we think we have a few customers and then a few don't matter. And we give crappy I mean crappy customer service. He was rude and I said I will be writing a review on fb he said make sure you put it on twitter, IG and all other social media he don't care. This is what I'm saying about our people when it comes to business but y'all want me to keep patronizing mess. Not!! This behavior is unacceptable. Never going back!!!!

This is a good Soul Food joint on the West Side of town. Formerly called 285 West Soul Food, now known as A1-Soul Food. If what you want to eat isnt already part of the daily menu they will cook it to order for you. Their online phone number was wrong, but I just corrected it.
