I went to the office to have water service started. It was a Friday, and since I work Monday through Friday, I took a half day off to go to the customer service. I went down to the office, but they close at 4:00 PM on Fridays. I went home dejected because I got there at 4:15. Their webpage says that they are open 8:15 to 5:30 PM Mon-Thu so I left work early on Monday and got there at 5:15. Well, it turns out that the office that needed to start my water closes at 5:00 PM. I wish that their office would have more flexible hours, like open on Saturday, or that we could start service over the phone or on the internet. Alas, I'll have at least one more day leaving work early and fighting Atlanta traffic to start my water service!
Watershed mgmt requires a notarized copy of your lease. They require you to drive into downtown Atlanta, find (and pay for) parking. Bring plenty of picture ID, and money. And yes this is only water and sewer. Its easier to get a passport. Took three days of calling during business hours to find all of this out. When I arrived, no one was busy, yet long waits. Staff were rude or indifferent. The real LOL is a huge poster in the gray waiting room "Welcome to the Personal Care Unit. Customer service is our goal and out passion."
