I'm sure when the university students return, this will turn into an "urban" park. Gotta be from a big city to deal with that scene.
Shouldn't even be considered a park. Just homeless people sitting there asking students for change as they pass by.
This park was created to honor John Calhoun, a black business man and NAACP leader from 1940 to 1950's.
I stopped here on my way to Peachtree Center. It's a Friday summer afternoon, no students in town. So, the park was a quiet and refreshing break from the sun.
If you need a short break on your way to or from the Sweet Auburn district, here is a place you can rest, read the historical marker, enjoy the art work, and remember the history of this area.
