As far as parks go, this one is a real gem. Situated in a very nice neighborhood, it has basically everything you need. The grounds are impeccable and are well cared for. You get a mixed bag of kids, dogs, older folks power walking the path, and young professionals pushing strollers.As someone constantly in search of their happy places, this is one of them. I can let my mind wander as I walk my dog around the path, or dig into a book while laying out. Plus I've encountered very friendly people here.Plenty of benches, people watching, and nice bathroom too. All the while surrounded by million dollar homes. Grant Park screams GA, but more than makes up for any hint of elitism by being one of GA's best kept secrets.
Super cool place to buy free range eggs, artisan butters and breads, fruit and vegetables. People watching is super fun too, as the area is trendy, and the people seem to be much more free spirit then many other fresh markets I go to. Watch beautiful dogs, sip on great coffee, eat amazing scones. Grant park houses the market every Sunday morning. Visit Grant park and support local business. I am hooked.
This is the ideal place to become one with nature in hot lanta, from picnicking to swimming there's always some event going on, or you can sit back and just people watch, with a state of the art zoo if people are not on your agenda. Wonderful for walks by yourself or bringing along family and friends.
Easy to get to and parking was a breeze. I actually was on my way to the Zoo Atlanta and pulled in here to make a quick phone call. I saw a lot of people with kids and dogs who looked like they were enjoying the nice weather.
Absolutely beautiful Park in the heart of Chicago. Always hosting major events. Lot of room clean events are very well organized
