A year ago I got there late one Wednesday night around 1:30 and the place was packed! Great blend of 70s-90s music, a small dance floor about 10x10, strong drinks and a good mixed crowd late 20s-early 50s. It's definitely different than the usual Buckhead scene which is greatly appreciated. The atmosphere or decor or lack thereof is a throw back to the early 70s with red vinyl bar stools and black walls and black & white photos of celebrities. People are allowed to smoke indoors as it is anywhere in Atl. :( What can you do until they finally pass the law to protect non smokers. I would've normally hated it b/c they allow smoking but I had a great time dancing. My most recent visit a few months ago my gf and I went to go out dancing. We got there on a Friday around 11:15 kinda early and the line outside wasn't long but once inside it took about 10mins to get drinks so that was annoying.
My friend and myself sat in the Frank Sinatra area. Cute spot. Great drinks. Friendly guys. Awesome live band on Sunday. For a first time at Johnny's Hideaway it was pretty fun. Word to the wise let the valet park your car one of my friends almost got his car towed .he had to pay up $75.
This place is a joke.. Its just a front for the owners to show off to their personal friends they could Care less about anything to do with running an actual business that involves customer service or accommodation to prebooked parties days in advance. I won't waste to much of my time explaining how they ruined my reserved birthday and by the way don't ever book a table there! It will just be given away. Any other open tables that are being held longer than yours will be... are all only for the said personal friends of the owners. That is exactly what we were told by the staff working at the door!..If you all just pay attention to how throughout all these reviews that have been left below mine not one has a response from the so called "business" owners or management! Again they don't Care about customers just showing off to their personal friends! Just a word of advice before I go.. Go next door to The Ivy! You will have a great time with great customer service!
Really Good food and a Good atmosphere!! And a Very eclectic crowd. A must visit if Your ever in the Atlanta area. #Landmark
I tried to go to Jonny's with some friends tonight, and since I had print on my shirt, I wasn't allowed to enter. I told the bouncer this was a pretty stupid rule, and he came at me violently, pushed me and (tried to trip me and throw me on the ground, although he was unable to) and I then left. He quickly escalated a situation that was just two people talking. I wasn't drunk. Its incredible these people get away with this... I will never ever go back. I hope you don't either. There are TWO more reviews on yelp from YESTERDAY about an overly violent bouncer!! clearly this is not an isolated issue! UNBELIEVABLE!!!
