A few tips if you're renewing in a rush: make sure you have two passport photos, the printed passport application form that you have filled out online, payment ($170 for a rushed passport, and they take cash, cards, or even checks), your old, expired passport, and photo ID besides that, and PROOF OF TRAVEL--don't forget that last part--you have to prove you need to travel that day to be expedited.
These folks are dealing with a group of the MOST stressed individuals you can imagine--people like my wife and me, who realized the day before travel to Costa Rica that our passports were expired. They had us in the office by 8:00, and we had our passports by 9:45, a mere 24 hours after first realizing we had royally screwed up. We had to drive through the night in a driving rainstorm from Louisville to Atlanta, but man was it worth it!
Wow this was one of the friendliest customer service experiences I've ever had anywhere. Very efficient, very kind, and I was in and out in like 30 minutes. Highly recommend and appointment tho, in case it gets busy. I leave in less than two weeks and they say I can pick up my passport on Monday. Today is Thursday. So grateful this service exists!

Extremely effective! Only waited in a 2 min line at most, had all my paperwork ready in less than 10 & my passport was ready 2 hours later! The staff is amazing, I can’t believe this is a government agency because of how friendly they are! They went above & beyond & were willing to help with anything I needed. Every single person I encountered was great, whoever is running it & the staff.. AMAZING JOB!
Unbelievably efficient, kind, helpful. How did this happen? A government office that rocks. Whoever is responsible for this masterpiece must run for higher government office, fix medicare, social security and dmv. It can be done and they have shown us all. Great job!
YOU MUST GET TO THE OFFICE NO LATER THAN 6 a.m. if you want to get out early and catch a flight, but if you do that and you have everything you are supposed to have in order, they will in all likelihood make this happen for you.
Efficient and friendly staff and support folks. Delivered in about 4 hours today. Be sure you have a good picture or you join the line across the street at CVS for $15 passport shots. Very appreciative.
If you have all that, while they can't guarantee you anything, my experience is you are likely going to get what you need in a few hours.
Truly, I do not know where to begin. Jaw-dropping customer service, with a group of people--PEOPLE--not mindless government functionaries--who do everything in their power not only to HELP you but also to be KIND to you.
