Mixers for days. I really can't say enough about this place.
Parking can be nuts but this is the best liquor store in the city.
Great selection, good prices, but a massive pain in @$$ to get in and out of due to the tiny narrow parking lot.
The beer selection is out of this world. If you want it, it's there. The wine section is vast but concise in it's layout, and if you can't find what you're looking for, the staff will hook you up. They are fantastic.
I walk out of that store every time intending to leave a bad review only to forget and then go back. Unfortunately due to its location it will probably still end up getting my business. But would it be so terribly inconvenient to just be nice? I would give 1 star, but like I said, the selection and availability forces me to give 2. Work on your customer service, please.
Second time I got a keg from here, the beer had sediment in it and the tap was also in rough shape. I realize that the beer being bad has to do with the brewery but they did not reimburse.
Would not recommend buying a keg from here. Prices are reasonable but I have had two bad experiences here. First time - they gave me a bad tap. Didn't realize it was bad until the keg was tapped and we were out of town for the weekend. When I got back I went to swap out the tap and they said it must have been my own fault. I was expecting them to apologize because we couldn't drink the beer on the bachelor party so it was kind of a waste. But they said it must have been my own fault. The person who was helping me was clearly incompetent. I showed her the broken seal that was letting in air, which made the beer foamy even when tapped correctly. But she had no ability to reason how taps work and insisted that they are inspected and cleaned every time before sending the taps out. This also could not have been true because not only was the gasket broken but the tap was very dirty when we received it.
Good selection but not a lot of parking. If you park behind the building you'll get a boot. If you park in the Murder Kroger parking lot, you'll get a boot. Best to leave the car running and let your friend head inside to pick up the goods.
Cons: Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service. Rude cashiers. Consistently bad attitudes. Random rules; for example I can't walk directly into the front door and through the registers, even when no one is standing there? I was rudely informed of that fact recently. No clue why. I also had another unfortunate experience of grabbing a few bottles of wine off the shelf to purchase which were stocked incorrectly and the actual bottles rang up at a higher price. When I asked the guy manning the wine section about it his response was "I can't control who stocks what where". Well is the wine section yours or not? Take ownership of the mistake, man. Regardless, he would not honor the price advertised, (his response, "Dude, this is a Napa bottle. Come on" as if my request was unreasonable to honor the price advertised) and told me it was my fault for not double checking the bar code numbers. Really? So I grabbed another bottle and sure enough, it rang up incorrectly as well. I left without purchasing that day and went elsewhere. Again, rude cashier and demanding attitudes: "ID and credit card". No "please". Very rare "thank you's". Everyone working here seems miserable.
Pros: Good location. Within walking distance of me. Great selection. Price is reasonable. You can move through the line even when its busy relatively quickly.
