Switched to GEICO in October of 2014. The rates are fair and I feel so secure with my insurance. The representatives of the office greeted me warmly and were very good at explaining my insursnce policies to me. Its good to know that you'll be taken care of if ever involved in an accident. Great customer service and really honors its values. I will continue to renew my policies with GEICO.
I had to contact the Better Business Bureau because none of their reps contacted me and they offered to assist me on a social media outlet after I messaged them with a complaint, instead of contacting me to assist me, they blocked me from contacting them.
The insurance business has become a welfare company, forcing loyal customers with great driving records to pay for reckless, careless motorists.
What happen to the days of paying for a reasonable rate for being a devoted customer? Now you are telling me that I now have to pay for other drivers negligence. This is absurd. I have called in several times to address this issue with you and receive the same Scripted response with a fake attempt to try to review for a better rate. Again this is absurd. And I have on several occasions advised that I am tempted to take my business to another company. Well that time has come.
To start, I had to call the office three times to finally talk to a representative. They said they would call me back, but never did. I was coming from a state who's auto insurance isn't as high as Georgia's and the rates caught me a bit off guard. Politely, I asked why the prices were so jacked up. Their only response was "That's what the computer spits out. I can't change the program." No knowledge whatsoever as to why. I continued to press the question and this is when they became BLATANTLY RUDE. They yelled at me, the prospective customer, saying that I need to suck it up and just accept the fact that it's more expensive. Obviously my answer still wasn't answered and I was fed up at this point, I told them that I wanted to talk to the actual GEICO agent in the office. They replied that they weren't in the office today (Mind you, they didn't offer to take a message for them or give me any of the contact info), so I told them "Fine, you're losing a customer then." and they HUNG UP ON ME. Because of this, I switched insurance providers. I had been a loyal GEICO member for years, and this is how they treat me?! GOOD RIDDANCE.
If I could give this place a 0 star rating, I would. I recently moved to the area and needed new auto insurance because I came from out of state. I have been a GEICO member for 5+ years.
First of all, I have been a customer for 28 years. Secondly, I have seen my policy rates increase. Thirdly, I'm being told that it is due to the rise in automobile accidents, not by me but other motorist in the state of Georgia. Really?
Yes I am angry and sad at the same time that you would neglect your ethics for this selfish act.
I to would give 0 stars if i could. Geico is a horrible insurance comoany. A 18 year old girl hit my daughter sent her to the hospital totaled her car. It took geico 3 months to go check out my daugthers vehicle to see of it was totaled and yes it was took 6 montha to get paid for her vehicle now its like pulling teeth to get the check cashed. Very poor customer service
I have been giving you my money since 1988. And could have been giving you my money for at least 10 more years.
But instead of me going on and on about what you are doing and refuse to realize. I will be taking my business to Liberty Mutual for both my automobile and home insurance.
I do not like how Geico conducts their business!!!!!! I was told to meet with a claims adjuster to get an eatimate of repairs and I did that, only to find out that they WON'T issue a check until I find a body shop and the the check would be made out to that shop. Most insurance companies will issue a check made out to you. My damages do bot exceed the cost of my vehicle, but it's close enough. I would rather get a check to put down on another car at this point. I'm the victim and their policy sucks!!!!! I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone to use their services.
These companies are big businesses and want to take our hard earned money, but some of them like Geico, DO NOT want to pay out claims when tgeir driver was at fault.
Don't try to retain my business now, when I have given you time to redeem yourself with my policy. Once I leave, there is no second thoughts of coming back.
