My son and I love this place. Best to come during the weekday if you can because it's pretty crowded on the weekends. The food (spicy black bean burger) was good and I was happy to see vegan and vegetarian food options.
Great space for kids to run and play adventurously but safely. Good for a wide range of kids from 1 to 10. All of the toys are clean and the staff does a good job of keeping things quietly organized. Cafe is nice and serves food you won't feel bad giving your kids. Event rooms are also very nice and the staff are very professional and helpful in keeping everything going smoothly.
We’ve been here multiple times in the past, and I left a positive review about 2 years ago, but I’ve decided to amend my review based on multiple recent experiences. We were here about a month ago, and we also recently came back for a birthday party. First of all, it is shameful how many parents do not watch their children in this establishment. Children climb on top of bouncy houses, clobber other children, HIT other children, and there is simply very little supervision. I had to intervene multiple times with a little girl who had NO adult supervision hitting other kids with her fists. I never found a parent. The staff should be more mindful of children who are unattended and remind parents this is not a daycare center. If parents aren’t going to watch their children, they should not be allowed to “play”. The birthday party was a mess overall. Entirely overcrowded. We waited about 20 minutes for a face painting that was very basic and poor quality. It looked nothing like the photo my daughter requested. The bathrooms were a mess. My husband ordered a basic burger and it took 30+ minutes, and then it came out incorrect. I don’t know how you mess up a basic burger. After it was incorrect, they told him it would take awhile for another one, so he got a refund. Staff is inattentive and doesn’t seem happy at all to be there. They’re definitely not helpful. Just a mess.
Whew! What an experience. Hopefully my review can clear up some confusion regarding this delightful place. After reading some reviews on this site, I decided to bring my five year old nephew to HippoHopp Atlanta. The best advice I can offer is to arrive early! We arrived at 9:30 and parking was already starting to pile up (additional parking is in the rear. Drive around the side of the pet place). The fee for my nephew was $9.00- admission for adults is free. No shoes are permitted on the play area (if you forget to bring socks they do sell them). The layout is nice and there are many slides, bouncy tents, play areas.... However, majority of the attractions were for toddlers. HippoHopp Atlanta does assign certain areas for appropriate age levels. On the other hand, the places my nephew could play in were few. Furthermore, some parents allowed their young children to run around unattended so they were climbing on the age 4+ attractions. I found myself holding my nephew back out of fear he would accidentally step on the little ones. I spoke to a few parents and found out we all shared the same concerns. After an hour, he became bored with sticking to just Lego's and we left. HippoHopp Atlanta is a great idea for kids to run around and let off some energy. Outside food is not permitted. They do have a small cafeteria area and you are able to purchase food. Overall, the place needs to be bigger and when a company advertise to a certain age group, they should have plenty of options to play on. In addition, the age requirements should be enforced in order to make sure the little ones are safe.
My 4 year old loves this place. She always has a great time and they have pretty good food too. It's usually crowded on rainy days but there are plenty of seats/couches for parents or you can just follow your kid around like I usually do. There's also a separate play area for smaller children so they aren't trampled by the bigger kids.
